Beachcomber Cocktail Recipe

The Beachcomber Cocktail is a vintage tiki-style drink created by legendary bartender Donn Beach. It’s a tropical, refreshing concoction that blends rum with citrus and a subtle hint of herbal complexity. Light, zesty, and perfectly balanced, the Beachcomber is a lesser-known classic that captures the carefree spirit of island life. Ingredients (per serving):
- 1.5 oz White rum
- 0.75 oz Triple sec (or Cointreau)
- 0.5 oz Fresh lime juice
- 0.25 oz Maraschino liqueur
- Garnish: Lime wheel or mint sprig
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
Chill your glass:
Place a coupe or small tiki glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you mix the drink.
Combine the ingredients:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add:
- 1.5 oz white rum
- 0.75 oz triple sec
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.25 oz maraschino liqueur
Shake well:
Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the drink is well chilled.
Strain and serve:
Discard the ice or water from your chilled glass. Strain the mixture into the glass.
Garnish:
Garnish with a lime wheel or a sprig of mint for a tropical touch
