History
The full guide to Catskill Distilling Company
Catskill Distilling Company is based in Bethel in the Catskill Mountains, a short drive from the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival.
The distillery makes small batches of bourbon, rye and other spirits, and has built a name for unusual grain choices such as buckwheat.
It is a small operation with a tasting room, and a good stop on a whiskey trip through New York State.
Thomas Grønvold is the founder of Caskable and a whisky enthusiast who believes the best way to learn about whisky is simply to drink it, compare it, and stay curious. From supermarket favourites to bottles from distilleries around the world, he writes about what he actually tastes and experiences, without pretending you need to be an expert to enjoy a good dram.
