The full guide to Widow Jane Distillery
Widow Jane takes its name from a historic limestone mine in Rosendale, New York. The mine’s mineral-rich water is used to bring the bourbon down to bottling strength, which the distillery says gives the whiskey a distinctive character.
The distillery itself is in Brooklyn, where it blends and bottles its whiskey. A good part of the bourbon has been sourced from other distilleries and then aged and finished by Widow Jane.
The range includes a ten-year-old bourbon, a rye and a series of finishes, and the Brooklyn tasting room is a popular stop.
