The full guide to Finger Lakes Distilling
Finger Lakes Distilling stands on the western shore of Seneca Lake in Burdett, New York, in the middle of one of the state’s best-known wine regions.
It was founded in 2008 by Brian McKenzie and Thomas Earl McKenzie, and it makes whiskey, gin and other spirits from grain grown in New York State.
The McKenzie range includes a bourbon, a rye and a bottled-in-bond style, and the distillery has a busy visitor centre with tours and tastings.
Thomas Grønvold is the founder of Caskable and a whisky enthusiast who believes the best way to learn about whisky is simply to drink it, compare it, and stay curious. From supermarket favourites to bottles from distilleries around the world, he writes about what he actually tastes and experiences, without pretending you need to be an expert to enjoy a good dram.
